
Unconventional Cheeseburger in Ring Form

- 700 g ground beef
- 200 g bacon
- 120 ml BBQ sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 3 sweet onions
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- half tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 170 g mayonnaise
- 120 g cheddar cheese
- 3 pickles
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Przygotowanie
- Cut the onions into 1 cm thick slices.
- Mix the ground meat with the chopped garlic, the grated cheese and salt and pepper, then set aside.
- Take a larger onion ring and place a smaller one inside it. Fill the space between the two with the ground meat.
- Wrap the burger rings made this way tightly with two slices of bacon.
- Once you've made them all, put them in the fridge while you heat up the grill.
- Heat the kamado grill to 150°C and prepare it for indirect cooking.
- While heating up, put a little smoking wood on the charcoal too for extra flavor.
- When the grill is hot, put the onion-and-meat rings on to cook away from the fire for 1 hour.
- Close the lid and let the burgers cook.
- Make the homemade burger sauce: mix the mayonnaise, the ketchup, the hot sauce, the garlic powder, the onion powder, the paprika and the Worcestershire sauce.
- Once done, add the finely chopped pickle as well and set aside for serving.
- At the start of the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush the rings with the BBQ sauce and cook them until done.
